Alongside my role as a physiotherapist at a physiotherapy clinic, where I provide care to patients and conduct movement training sessions, I am now proud to announce that I was invited and have joined The Movement Works team as a Movement Coach. This pioneering program, founded by Dr. Sarah Mottram in the UK, takes a holistic approach to help people suffering from chronic pain worldwide. Our goal is to empower clients to regain movement choices, restore healthy movement, and ultimately move away from pain! We understand that chronic pain is a complex issue that requires a multifaceted approach. That’s why our team of experts comprises physiotherapists who specialize in movement, as well as Life Style Medicine Physician, GP, Health Coache, Success Coache, Wellbeing and Breath Coache. I choose to close my studio in Oct and all the processes were finally done last week. I feel happy and relieved that this phase was over and it’s time to move on. / When I was asked to provide my title and self-introduction for an invited lecture, I suddenly realized I am neither the lead of Asia Hub nor a tutor. And now, I am not an owner of a studio either. Who am I without all these titles? What’s my value? Do I still have a successful career? Is there anyone still willing to sit in the audience and to listen to my lecture? I worked so hard to gain what I had. Am I rolling down to the bottom of the hill before reaching the peak? I talked to my family and friends about my self-doubt, and I tried to face my own feelings instead of just considering what others thought about me. I found I can slow down without worrying so much and I am much more delighted. Besides, there is no drop of the number of patients, lecture invitations, collaborate invitations, and the followers on social media, which even keeps increasing. THANK YOU SO MUCH…

On the first working day of this year, I want to give myself a huge round of applause! During the Lunar New Year holiday, I refrained from checking any work-related messages, emails, or making any work-related posts. It was a true holiday! At last, I have learned how to take a break. I feel that this is an important milestone for me in achieving the balance between work and life. 🥂 Previously, I was accustomed to non-stop work, and during the vacation, I felt guilty at times. (Maybe this is a part of culture.) But then I realized, why feel guilty? Taking a break and resting is perfectly reasonable! While others had their holidays two days earlier, I gave myself an extra two days off, and today is officially my first day back to work! 🧨 After spending several days sitting in front of the computer playing computer games during the holiday, my whole body felt tight. I truly admire those who have to sit in front of a computer every day for work.
